About Us
Positively Disrupting & Reinventing Our Industry
Your Partners In Success
Since inception, Montana Family Pharmacies has worked tirelessly to help its Members tackle big challenges head on, compete more effectively with chains, and ultimately positively impact the communities and improve the health of the patients our Members serve.
Pharmacies: A Community Pillar
When it comes to locally owned pharmacies, MFP knows you take the time to build personal connections with your patients, truly understanding their health needs, and guiding them towards their best possible well-being. MFP understands you are not just a pharmacy; you’re an integral part of your community.
Your doors are open for community members seeking assistance with their health concerns, even when their primary healthcare provider isn’t readily available. MFP understand that convenience matters, but we also recognize that personal care and expertise are irreplaceable.
Despite the challenges faced by independent pharmacies, especially in rural areas with limited options, MFP remains committed to defying the status quo and we firmly believe that independent pharmacies are here to stay. We are unwavering in dedication to serving and empowering our Members and the communities they serve.
Your journey to success is our priority, and MFP would be proud to be your trusted partner along the way.
MFP & You: The Voice Of Independent Pharmacies
In 2014, Montana Family Pharmacies founder, Mike Matovich, teamed up with five like-minded pharmacy business owners to negotiate better product pricing, improve their insurance reimbursements, and more effectively run and market their businesses. When independent pharmacies are forced to close their doors, their customers and communities suffer the consequences.
Today, that same spirit and drive are at the core of Montana Family Pharmacies’ values. Membership now spans the nation, boasts an ever-growing list of important resources to help independent pharmacies optimize operations, and the independent pharmacy community is continuing to put the patient at the center of care.
“Montana Family Pharmacies works extremely hard to provide advantages to independent pharmacies that otherwise would not be attainable… Their staff is dedicated to helping us succeed and provide a valuable resource when trying to navigate many of the complexities of retail pharmacy. I am grateful on a weekly (and oftentimes, daily) basis to have the ability to reach out with questions or request assistance, which is always handled promptly and professionally.”
Mike Matovich, RPh
Founder & President
Mike owns and operates several independent pharmacies in Montana. In 2014, he realized if he didn’t do something to collaborate with other independently-owned pharmacies, they would all end up out of business and the patients in their small communities would suffer the consequences. It was then that Montana Family Pharmacies was born.
Since then, Mike has worked tirelessly to help our Members – and their patients and communities – survive and thrive. His wife, Becky, supports him behind the scenes to help create the change that’s needed in our industry.
